Accessing Your Market Place by children

Information we collect

Our primary purpose in collecting personal information is to improve the services we provide to you. We will collect information for our internal research and to further develop current services or new services which will better meet your needs.

In order to list items for sale on the site (or to participate on the site), you will need to register and provide us with your contact information. You will need to pay your upload fees prior to completing your upload of items for sale.

Your Market Place does not use collection devices such as ‘cookies’.

Your credit card number and expiration date, and other financial information are not stored with Your Market Place. These details are only used at the time of the transaction. All financial transactions for Your local buy and sell will be handled by PayPal. You should familiarise yourself with PayPal’s privacy policy. Businesses will need to provide their PayPal merchant number for online payments by customers. Businesses can pay Your Market Place for business services by eWay or as otherwise notified by Your Market Place.

If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities or postings on Your Market Place, then we may keep this information under a file specific to you.

Our use of your information

Use. We use users’ personal information to:

• provide our services
• resolve disputes, collect fees, and troubleshoot problems;
• encourage a safe online environment and uphold our policies;
• customise users’ experiences, and refine and improve our services,
• communicate improvements and updates to the site, as well as to customise marketing and promotional offers;

Using Information from Your Market Place. You may use personal information gathered from Your Market Place only to follow up with another user about a specific posting. You are not authorised or permitted to send spam, or collect personal information from someone who has not given their express permission.

If you use our tools to send content to a friend, such as recommending a product to them, then we don’t permanently store your friends’ addresses or use or disclose them for marketing purposes.

Security

Your Market Place uses a range of industry standard practices to protect your personal information against unauthorised access or disclosure. This includes, but is not limited to, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) standard technology, MD5 password encryption, no use of cookies, databases on private networks, regular data backups, use of POST method for http requests, SQL statements protected against SQL injection using such approaches as php mysql_real_escape_string(), and log out procedures.

Your Information is stored on Your Market Place’s server located in Australia. We use industry standard efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal information. These safeguards include hardware based firewalls as well as software based firewalls installed on each server, as well as employing intrusion detection software, amongst other security safeguards.

Your Market Place however does not guarantee that such unauthorised access or disclosure will not occur and that your private communications or personal information will remain private.

Control of your password

You are responsible for all actions taken with your password including the payment of fees. We do not recommend that you disclose your password for Your Market Place to any third parties. If you choose to share your password or your information with third parties to provide you additional services, then you agree that you are responsible for all actions taken with your password and therefore you should review that third party's privacy policy. If you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over your personal information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. Accessing, reviewing and changing your personal information

Following registration, you can review and change the information you submitted during registration including:

In the event that we retain information in our files that you have requested to remove, it will only be for circumstances such as to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, assist investigations or to meet legal obligations. There may be some technical limitations that also prevent personal information being completely removed, but such information will be removed from view or use by the public.

This policy may be updated at any time, taking effect when you next post or 30 days after we post the updated policy on the site, whichever is sooner.
