Windsor Dance Centre offers lessons in Classical Ballet and Spanish Dance for beginners from 7 years to adult, up to intermediate level. With no upper age limit or restrictions on size or shape, instructor Paula Henneberry welcomes all those with a genuine interest in the discipline. Male or female, old or young, experienced or not, if you have enthusiasm and commitment then Windsor Dance Centre may be for you!
With internationally recognized teaching qualifications in Classical Ballet and Spanish Dance, as well as 15 year's dance training (including three year's full-time study) and 11 year's teaching experience, Paula is well educated in the language of dance. She has a genuine passion in the area and this is reflected in her teaching. Classical ballet classes are based on England's Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, while the Spanish dance lessons include Flamenco, Castanets and Regional styles, and spanish classical. Classes are based on Spanish Dance Society syllabus from South Africa.
If classical ballet or spanish dance are not for you, Paula also offers lady's gentle exercise classes to classical music. A great alternative to the intense gym atmosphere, classes allow individuals to concentrate on developing ease of movement, toning and strengthening vital core muscles. There are no mirrors in the studio.
Classes at Windsor Dance Centre are available most evenings and weekdays, and are kept to a small size. Private lessons are offered at all levels. Dancers are taught with focus on individual physical ability and progress. Windsor Dance Centre is a great place for those just starting out or wishing to resume after years away. Competitions are not encouraged, however Paula does offer choreography and private coaching for select students of suitable standard wishing to enter Eisteddfods.
At Windsor Dance Centre, Paula understands dance is an holistic experience. She works with the body to not only develop technique but improve posture, alignment, strength and flexibility. All muscles of the body share the effort involved. This teaching method is effective in streamlining and toning muscles; it works particularly well for individuals with old injuries or suffering from a range of physical problems including bad posture, flat feet, scoliosis and sway-back knees. At Windsor Dance Centre developing each student's musicality and expressiveness is a high priority.
